Shintō
Shintō (the way of the Gods) is Japan’s oldest indigenous belief. Japanese pray since time immemorial to the sky, earth and heavenly bodies as Amaterasu (the Sun) is the ancestor of Japan’s Imperial House. There’s not one absolute God but many different ones. Also there’s not one absolute founder and no official scripts as Shintō has always been orally passed on. And there is only one commandment that forms the source of its entirety: the necessity to be loyal to your ancestors. Life after death is not a central point in Shintō rather to live here and now in order to create a solide foundation for the lives to come.
